Bangalore Police today said they were still awaiting reports relating to the analysis of the hard disk recovered from the residence of Kafeel Ahmed, a suspect in the botched UK terror plot.
“We have sent the disk to Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) in Hyderabad and still awaiting reports”, Police Commissioner Achutha Rao told reporters here.
On the line of investigations taken up by the police following the chargesheeting of two Indians Sabeel Ahmed and Mohammed Haneef in the terror plot, he said, “we are conducting our own enquiries and focussing on our areas of investigations, which include examining presence of any modules and terrorist network in the state, if any.”
He replied in the affirmative to a question whether the attack on the Indian Institute of Science here in December 2005 fell within the scope of the ongoing probe.
Police would continue to question associates, friends and others who were in touch with the terror suspects.
He maintained that the police were yet to receive any official communication from the Australian authorities on the issue.
