Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan said on Monday that he had written to his counterparts in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh seeking comprehensive probe into the mysterious death of Vijila, a nursing student from Kerala whose body was found on tracks near the Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh border recently.
Replying to a submission by G Karthikeyan (Congress) in the assembly, he said Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister had responded to his letter and offered to conduct a thorough probe into the mysterious death of the girl student.
The government was keenly following up the case, he said.
The body of Vijila, a student of Sree Ramakrishna College of Nursing at Bangalore, was found on railway tracks under mysterious circumstances about two months back.
