Police have taken serious exception to Vasavi Vidyanikethan School authorities’ delay in informing police about the fall of the child in the school premises.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Alok Kumar, who visited the school in the afternoon enquired Arun Kumar, secretary of the Trust, on why he did not inform the police even four hours after the incident happened.

According to Alok Kumar, the secretary gave an evasive reply saying that the school authorities were busy in making arrangements for providing medical aid for the child. The secretary told Alok Kumar, “the school is run by a trust.

I can’t take the decision at my level to file a complaint. Everyone in the trust has to approve”. He also enquired some teaching staff about how the incident has happened. However, nobody could give him the eye-witness account.
