13 persons selected to study Tulu

Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy has deputed 13 resource persons to conduct research into 13 different topics related to Tulu language, literature, art, history and culture.

The researchers will conduct survey in their respective fields and finally submit reports to the Academy by September, stated Academy Registrar H S Shivarudrappa in a release.

Following are the selected researchers and their topics: P Srinivas Bhat - Shimantooru, Mulky and Sasihitlu: Janapada, aitihasika, dharmika hinnelegalu; B K Srimathi Rao - Tulunadina haridasaru hagu Tulu keertanegalu; H Shakuntala Bhat - Tulu nadina shishu janapada; Sujatha Mudradi - Karkala, ondu aitihasika adhyayana; Dr Vishwanatha Badikana - Gowdara acharanegalalli Tulu samskrutiya pradhanyate; Dr Ajakkala Girish Bhat - Tulu

nadina padavi kalejugala vidyarthigala Tulu bhasha jnana mattu Tulu bhasha balake- ondu adhyayana;  Ashalatha - Kumbara samskrutiyalli mahile; Durga Kumar Nayarkere - Tulu nadina puratana taravadu manegalu; Dr Duggappa Kajekar - Vinashada anchinalliruva Tulu nadina kula kasubugalu; Dharmendra K - Dharmasthalada

Annu Paravara paddanagala samagra dakhalati mattu kalavida vyaktitvada shodhane; Dr Pundikai Ganapaiah Bhat - Samskrutika Moodabidre; Sayigeetha - Tulu nadina pakashastra- ondu adhyayana; Dr B Jagadish Shetty - Tulu nadina samskrutika rajadhaniyagi Barkur mattu Basrur.

The release said the researchers had been selected out of the applications submitted to the Academy under its research scheme. The Academy has already conducted consultations and training camps in two phases, in connection with the survey and documentation activities. The Academy also has plans to publish the works after getting them examined by scholars, the release added.
