Kushalnagar hosts Jaycees convention

The programmes undertaken by Jaycees facilitate the youth to develop leadership qualities apart from being a platform to shape them into individuals brimming with confidence and creativity, said Jaycees zone 15 President Shailaja Anilkumar. 

Speaking after inaugurating Jaycees Convention 2007 organised under the joint aegis of Indian Jayceret Zone 15 and Kushalnagar Cauvery Jayceret on Sunday, he said such conventions help in exchange of ideas and culture. Women must strengthen themselves through becoming creative, she added.

MLC C S Arun Machaiah said that in a democracy, youth must make efforts for the alround development of the country. The responsibility of rebuilding the nation lies on the shoulders of the youth, he said.

Mysore University Sociology Department Director Dr R Indira said women have an important role to play in building a society which is rich in culture. They should be informed about laws and rights, she added.

Jayceret zonal Director A Shilpa Ganesh said members from various zones meeting in one place and participating in various activities is a proof of unity in diversity.

Jaycees zone 15 President J Anilkumar and Jayceerette division Co-ordinator M S Alakananda, local Jayceret President Rashmi Amrithraj, Secretary Malathi Nataraj, convention Director Ashwini Ravikumar, Jaycees zonal former president Chittaranjan Shetty, Sadanand Navada, Cauvery Jaycees President B Amrithraj, former president P K Jagadeesh, H K Tilagar and Secretary G R Manjunath were present.
