Flaying the Naxal attack in Gubbiga-Tallurangadi near Agumbe, BJP activists staged demonstration before the office of Superintendent of Police in the City.

Addressing the protesters, Girish Patel, district unit BJP President expressed concern about spur in Naxal activities in Malnad region.

Innocents are targeted by Naxals and those staying in single houses in forests are reeling under fear.

State Government should take strict action to curb Naxal menace and model of operation carried against forest brigand Veerappan should be followed here also. Girish Patel also demanded for strict action against those who are extending support for Naxals.

Speaking on the occasion, BJP leader R K Siddaramanna termed Naxals as anti-National elements and demanded for strict action against them. Bangalore is becoming centre of terrorists’ activities while Malnad is turning into abode of Naxals.

Expressing disappointment against State Government for withdrawing the list of Naxal supporters, he demanded the Government to identify those who are supporting Naxals and initiate legal action against them.

Chairperson of SUDA S N Channabasappa, BJP leaders Dattatri, Jyotiprakash took part in the protest.
