Forecast: Forecast valid until the morning of Thursday: Moderate to rather heavy rain likely to occur at most places over Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Chikmagalur, Hassan, Kodagu, Shimoga districts. Light to moderate rain likely to occur at many places over Belgaum, Dharwad, Haveri districts and at a few places over remaining districts of the State. Heavy rainfall warning: Heavy to very heavy rain may occur at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and ghat areas of South Interior Karnataka during next 48 hours. Fisheries warning: Strong onshore winds from westerly direction speed occasionally reaching 45 to 55 kmph likely along the Karnataka coast during 24 hours.

Outlook for subsequent two days: No significant change is expected over the State.
