Police have maintained a strict vigil in the backdrop of Thursday’s bundh call given by naxals under Kudremukh National Park limits.
Police troupes have been kept ready, to be sent in case of necessity. Mobile squads have been deputed to patrol across the National Park limits throughout the day. More security has been given to sensitive areas.
“There will be no bundh; No schools and colleges will be closed in and the surrounding areas of the Park limits. All business will go as usual,” said the Police department, which has firmly decided to foil the bundh call at any cost.
District Superintendent of Police Vipul Kumar has camped himself in Sringeri. He has warned of legal actions, if anybody forces the people to close down their shops.
