Kapil Dev, the former Indian captain, has called upon the likes of Yuvraj Singh and Mahendra Singh Dhoni to take more responsibility on the tour of England. “They have to start pulling their weight now,” he said. “They are the future of Indian cricket and the size of their task is considerable, despite the presence of the seniors.”

Syed Nayeemuddin, the former Indian football coach, has signed a four-month contract with the Bangladesh Football Federation to take over as their national coach. The contract comes into effect next month and will run till the SAFF Championship in December, with a monthly salary of one lakh Bangladeshi taka.
