The Income Tax department has in a release stated that the due date for filing Return of Income for the Assessment Year 2007-08 is July 31.

Special Counters are being opened for accepting Salary Returns from pensioners and other salaried assessees at Income-tax Department, C R Buildings, Queen’s Road, Bangalore from July 23 to 31.

A week-long free tax filing campaign for the benefit of salaried employees in Bangalore will be organised by Right Horizon, an investment advisory and wealth management firm from July 23.
