If you think that hookahs are the best thing to have happened to Friday nights... dim lighting, a fruity grape fragrance lingering in the air, merging with the sound of beautiful conversation sprinkled with laughter... and the only thing that stands in the way of the inviting gadget of gurgles and you is the risk from its tobacco, what Irfan Yacoob Sait claims to be ‘Tobacco-free hookah’ may be the solution.
The newest place to be introduced to Sait’s concept of ‘Tobacco-free Hookah’ is Maharaja, located in The Paradise Restaurant. The combination of hookah, rose petals strewn around, Arabic music, courtesy Khaled and Hisham Abbas, dates, Dubai tea and Arabian coffee, served along with the regular fare from the restaurant, is what one can expect in this air-conditioned place, that is open from 1 pm to 11 pm, all through the week.
“The hookahs are purely tobacco-free. And this factor makes sure that the 1,000-year history of hookah can become part of a family experience,” says Sait, proprietor of Hookah Trading, who adds, “The molasses for the hookahs are imported all the way from Egypt and are gaining popularity in India.
It has been well received by college students who are looking to have a relaxing time over a puff or two.”
Flavours
The flavours are many with some strong and others mild. Choose between strawberry, mint, grape, apple, rose, orange, apple mint, grape mint, cherry, coffee, peach, vanilla, banana, and chocolate... there seems to be one for every mood.
Hookah Trading has provided its services to various spots in the City like Zero G, Jalsa, Royal Orchid, A J International, Basha Restaurant and Qwiky’s Coffee Shop. The company also deals in chocolates, perfumes and flavoured cigars.
Their office is located in Commercial street (No 66, Pradeep Plaza, 2nd Floor).
