Bringing yet another platform for youngsters to showcase their talent is Gili — Voice of Bangalore 2007, an initiative by Gili, Garuda Mall and Radio City. The aim is to encourage talent and bring together the best voices of Bangalore.
To enroll in the talent hunt, interested participants (aged between 16 and 35 years of age) can register at the Gili store in Garuda Mall where registration forms are available every Tuesday and Wednesday starting July 31. Auditions for the same will take place every Thursday and Friday at the mall starting August 2.
Two winners (one man and one woman) will be selected every week along with auditions at various colleges and companies and the chosen participants will then move up to the semi finals. The 18 semi-finalists will battle it out for the grand finale that will have six contestants (three men and three women) vying for the title.
The two winners will be given an opportunity to sing in Indrajit Lankesh’s next movie along with Gili diamonds worth Rs 1,00,000, free holiday packages from Country Vacations and a whole lot of merchandise, states a release.
Judges for the talent hunt will include names from the Kannada filmdom and light music industry like Praveen Godkhindi, Chandrika Gururaj, Pallavi, Sangeeta Katti, Ganesh Desai, Supriya Acharya, Sunita, Fayaz Khan, among others.
