A feast for shutterbugs
DH News Service, Bangalore:

Here is an opportunity for those who would like to know more about photography. Just walk into Photo Today-2007, the third international exhibition on photography, digital imaging and videography at International Exhibition Centre on Jindal Road here.
The three-day exhibition is showcasing some of the latest in the world. It is open to all professionals, industrialists and enthusiasts. And everything is on show, right from the ubiquitous passport photo system to multimedia hi-resolution photo CDs, and album wrapper printers to newsroom systems/equipment. And more.
More than 40,000 visitors are expected at the event, organised by Buysell Interactions Pvt Ltd, which will be open till July 22. Entry is free.
Interestingly, the Karnataka Photographers Association is celebrating its golden jubilee on the premises. KPA had organised a competition in various categories on the occasion. Award-winning photographs and those winning merit certificates are on display at the venue.
Dharmadhikari Veerendra Heggade of Dharmasthala, in his inaugural speech said that ‘photography is the oldest form of documentation, it brought revolutionary changes in documentation. It is the most successful self-employment avenue nowadays’. Governor T N Chaturvedi, who inaugurated the KPA jubilee, said photography could be taken as a hobby or a profession, but it demanded dedication. Exhibitions like this would help push the frontiers of the knowledge of photographers.  T S Satyan, well-known photographer, and B A Anji, who has worked in Raj Bhavan for 30 years, were felicitated.
