Pratibha Patil triumphs in bitter campaign

UPA-Left Presidential nominee Pratibha Patil becomes the 13th President of India defeating her NDA-backed independent rival Bhairon Singh Shekhawat.
Patil bagged 2,931 votes, while Shekhawat got 1,449 votes.
She won by a margin of 3,06,810 value of votes.
