Savitha, Homemaker: The biggest problem I am facing is with the roads. They are so bad with potholes everywhere and during the monsoon the condition goes from bad to worse. I really hope he looks into that soon.
The traffic is horrible in the City especially at the peak hours. All these things are linked to one another. Some action must be taken to make it better.
The water facility also needs to be improved upon.
A B Bopayya (retired employee): I just want him to be more honest. Most of us don’t even know what the duties of a Corporation commissioner are. If you take a survey of the past politicians, you will find that many of them occupy government land illegally and such land is not put to any beneficial use. Other government plans are going down the drain because of such corrupt and unethical politicians. I pray that he at least tries to stop this to some extent.
Vinay, Student: Bangalore is not a green city anymore. Globalisation has done enough damage. It would be nice if he tried to stop globalising Bangalore. Also I want him to improve the public transport facility and hope the Metro turns out to be a good investment. The traffic problems will be lessened. Safety is pretty low and necessary action needs to be taken. He should provide more civic amenities.
Priyanka, Student: There are too many one-ways in this City. I want him to change that. It’s too confusing to remember which road is a one-way and which isn’t. I hope he closes down some of bars here. There are too many of them and too much of anything is never a good thing. I wish the Metro comes up in a year. I will be leaving the city next year and I want to experience it before I go. Otherwise I think Bangalore is cool.
