Clean air, cool planet campaign
Bangalore, dhns:

Jain Group of Institutions (JGI) launched a pollution-free environment campaign--‘Clean, Air, Cool Planet’ --at Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College, on Saturday.
The campaign aims at spreading awareness among the people on the ill-effects of pollution and suggesting remedial measures.  Collage, painting, essay writing and other competitions based on ecological themes were held on the occasion.  As a part of this campaign, a theatre group comprising students and staff of the college will stage Kannada street plays in various parts of the city to revive the passion for ecological preservation. naugurating the campaign Mr R V D’souza, Joint Commissioner of Transport, emphasised the need to spread awareness  on checking vehicular pollution.  To mark the beginning of this campaign, the JGI chairman, principal, staff and students, arrived to the institute on bicycles or chose to walk down up to the college.
