Impact in new zones
BBMP Commissioner Dr S Subramanya said that civic services were hit in the five new zones of BBMP as municipal workers as well as the staff of different divisions had struck work.
However, BBMP workers from core areas have been deputed to these zones to manage the situation, he said. As many as 100 personnel are sent to each zone and police support is also taken to prevent any interruption from agitating workers.
