Tribals will not be evacuated from National park

 The Government will not evacuate tribals from Kudremukh National Park limits at any cost, said Chief Whip D N Jeevaraj.
Speaking to presspersons, he said the Government does not have any intention of evacuating the tribals. Government is all set to provide basic facilities to the region and bring them to the main streams of the society.
 If the tribals wish to leave the place, rehabilitation facilities will be provided to them.
“In the past, Sringeri had provided direction to peace. Now, the peace has been affected. Unrest prevails in the region,” he lamented.
He said dacoity, loss of life does not bring honour. To ward off Naxal menace and to restore peace in the Malnad region, Naxals should discard gun fight. To send message that people of Malnad are not in favour of Naxalites, Malnad Shanthi Samithi will hold peaceful bundh on July 31 in all the taluks in Malnad.
