With the pictures of Firdaus Arshiya and her new-born, Imran Siddiqui on Saturday flew for Australia to meet Haneef who faces charges of supporting a terrorist organisation.
Firdaus Arshiya told Deccan Herald that Imran left home in the morning to fly for Australia. She said he would meet Haneef there and hand over photographs along with some letters. He would also meet Haneef’s counsel Peter Russo and discuss the various aspects of the case in which Haneef has been framed.
The family has not yet thought anything about the bail amount to be paid to the Australian authorities.
Haneef was granted bail by an Australian court against a surity amount of US $10,000, which amounts to around Rs 5 lakh. “Imran is not going there to submit the bail money but only to extend support to Haneef that at this crucial moment he is not alone but his entire family is standing by him,” said Firdaus.
