Canara Bank distributed free plates and glasses to schoolchildren of S M R High School at a function in Pattanayakanalli in the district here.
Pattanayakanahalli branch manager N V Prasanna speaking said, students should work hard and rise in life. In every man’s life problems arise on many occasions. But only if one overcomes them will one be successful. A person who looks up to success should have the challenge to face all difficulties and come up, he added.
The student’s life is very important because it is very easy to fall prey to temptations at such an young age. Hence one should have control over the mind and have a aim in life. The poor students should make use of the facilities provided by the government and organisations. By making use of such facilities they should get good marks, he said.
Canara Bank is extending its hand to the rural poor students and the only aim of the bank is to see that students work hard and come up in life. If one is not educated then it becomes very difficult in the present competitive world to survive, he said.
Precious time
K G Sampath Kumar who inaugurated the programme said, the student’s life is one of the most precious stages in a man’s life and one should always bear this in mind.
It is laudable that Canara Bank had donated plates and glasses, he added.
