Liquor, toddy seized
Raichur Police have arrested five persons in different parts of the district and recovered toddy and liquor.
According to a press release, those arrested are from Lingasugur, Manvi and Raichur taluks. Spurious toddy and Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) worth Rs 15,000 was recovered from them.
Police arrested Somalappa from Gorebal tanda of Lingasugur taluk and recovered spurious liquor worth Rs 1,500.
Umakantha Gouda, Mulla Ghouse and Eraanna from Maddipet in Raichur taluk were arrested and 725 arrack packets and 30 litres of spurious toddy worth Rs 13,500 were recovered.Vikram Raj from Madgiri village of Manvi taluk was arrested and arrack packets and IMFL worth Rs 1,100, were recovered from him.
