Mohammad Azim Husain, a veteran diplomat and a contemporary of former prime minister Jawahar Lal Nehru, died here last night.
Ninety three-year-old Husain is survived by his wife Nusrat, a son and a daughter.
Husain, who did his Barrister-at-Law in London in 1937, joined the Indian Civil Service in 1936 and served as India’s Ambassador to Egypt and Deputy High Commissioner in the UK, as well as in other posts.
