The ‘Veene Sheshanna Memorial award’ and ‘Swaramurthy V N Rao Memorial award’ was jointly presented by Swaramurthy V N Rao Memorial Trust and Gayana Samaj, on Sunday. 

Prof H V Krishna Murthy was honoured with Veene Sheshanna Memorial award and T V Shankaranarayanan recieved the Swaramurthy V N Rao memorial award.

The awards carry  a prize money of Rs 25,000 in cash and a citation.

Governor T N Chaturvedi and Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Veerendra Heggade presented the awards.
