A youth was hacked to death allegedly by his boss in Tilak Nagar police station limits in the early hours of Monday. Manikanta (23) was allegedly murdered by his boss Wil Mohan, police said. Mohan’s associates and ‘Theatre’ Ravi have been detained for questioning.

According to the police, Manikanta had eloped with Mohan's wife to Udupi. They returned after a month. Mohan, who learnt about the incident, decided to teach Manikanta a “lesson”.

Mohan was a moneylender and Manikanta helped him in recovering money.

Two robbed
A gang of four stole three cellphones and Rs 5,700 in cash from a house in Moti Gardens in J C Nagar police station limits, early on Monday. Vijay Chatri told the police he heard some men knocking at the door around 3:15 am. When his friend opened the door, the four, all in their late twenties, barged into the house and threatened them to hand over valuables.

Goods seized
Ramamurthynagar police arrested three persons on theft charges and recovered electronic gadgets, a van and an autorickshaw, all worth Rs 7.5 lakh.

Injured man dies
A man injured when an autorickshaw overturned on Mahakavi Kuvempu Road near Malleswaram on Sunday, died.
Raje Gowda was injured when the autorickshaw in which he was travelling hit the road median and overturned. Auto driver Venkatesh shifted him to KCG Hospital.

Gowda, who didn’t pay heed to the doctor's advice, decided to walk out of the hospital. A few hours later, Gowda developed complications and died.
