Here is a a unique example of how a measure taken to resolve a problem can itself become a problem!
The city police had laid iron barricades after spending thousands, hoping  to decrease accidents in the town. They had laid barricades in Kuppanahalli Gate situated between Bangarpet-Kolar , main road, Neralekere between Bangarpet-KGF road, Kuvempu circle in the town, Santhegate, and at the Bus stand.
The barricades which were laid to decrease the speeds of heavy vehicles have turned to be futile in the purpose, as these vehicles go on carelessly and hit the barricades themselves, much to the anguish of the police, who laid it to decrease the number of accidents.
Sub inspector Y S Mohan opines that such measures become impractical without the co-operation of Regional transport Authority. He has said that if the officials concerned show interest, then much accidents could be decreased in the area.
