Manjeshwara MLA C H Kunhambu has urged the Kerala government that the students studying in Kannada and Tamil medium in Plus Two classes too should be allowed to write examinations in their mother tongue like the students having Malayalam as their mother tongue.Speaking during the question hour in the Legislative Assembly, Mr Kunhambu said majority of the students in Kerala study in their own mother tongues like Malayalam, Kannada and Tamil, till 10th standard, besides English medium. But students have opportunities to write examinations only in English or Malayalam during 11th and 12th classes in their higher secondary, he said.
