Karnataka Theological Research Centre located at Balmatta has received recognition from Kannada University, Hampi for the MPhil and PhD degrees conferred by the Centre, informed Centre Director Dr J S Sadanand.
According to a press release, the academic projects of the Centre will be co-ordinated by Kannada University lecturer (retired) Prof A V Navada.
Applications have been invited for taking up MPhil and PhD in Kannada, English and Sanskrit under languages and History under Social Sciences in the present academic year. Candidates who have scored 55 per cent marks in the subject, can apply in the required forms.
The application forms can be availed after paying Rs 250 in cash or through DD addressed to Director, Karnataka Theological Research Centre, Balmatta, Mangalore- 575001, the release stated.
 The last date for submitting applications is August 10.
