The Comed-K has extended the last date for students to report to its member institutions and has changed its forfeiture clause .
The decision comes in the wake of postponement of the casual vacancy round of counselling of CET. Now, candidates allotted a medical/dental seat through the CET, and surrendering Comed-K allotted seat on or before July 30 will forfeit only 10 per cent of the tuition fee paid at the time of counselling.
Such candidates must furnish proof of seat allotment by CET. For any surrender of seats on or after July 31, the original rule will be applied and the candidate will forfeit the entire amount of tuition fee paid, Comed-K Secretary S Kumar said. The CET casual vacancy round will begin from July 25 for medical and dental seats.
Engineering
Similarly, the last date to surrender an engineering Comed-K seat has been extended from July 27 to September 10. But the candidate will forfeit 10 per cent of the tuition fee. However, For any surrender of seats on or after September 11, the candidate will forfeit the entire amount of tuition fee paid.
