CSE report on mining soon
DH News Service, Bangalore:

Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), New Delhi will release its latest ‘State of India’s Environment’ report on the mining sector, in Bangalore on August 4. An interactive session will also be held on the occasion.

The 350-page report prepared after extensive research and titled “Rich Lands, Poor People - Is Sustainable Mining Possible?”, will be released by Governor Rameshwar Thakur. CSE director Sunita Narain and Associate Director Chandra Bhushan will make presentations on the issue. Mining experts, mediapersons, civil society organisations, regulatory institutions and industry associations will discuss and debate the critical question - ‘How should mining be done in India?’
