I have both Windows 98 and Windows 2000 installed in my PC. When I boot the computer I choose Windows 98 as it contains my old programs. For the past few days, whenever I boot and connect to the Internet, the mouse goes haywire, moving all over the screen by itself, and does not respond. The computer starts opening random files and programmes. I am unable to do anything except shutdown and restart, but many times even this does not help.

Check whether mouse or system is infected with virus, and remove it completely.
I use Windows 98 and recently Installed Outlook Express-6. However I don’t know how to configure it. The attachment contains the boxes that i dont know how to fill. For eg., I don’t know whether POP3 or SMPy should be configured to download my Yahoo! mail.

Yahoo/rediff can go with POP3 once you pay them there yearly charges. For details please visit the concern sites. Hotmail also can be configured to work in outlook express. Gmail is also an Outlook Express client and can be easily configured. Please visit gmail.com for the POP3/smtp server details.
