CPI (ML) and Karnataka Raita Sangha (KRS) jointly held a public meet at the Ambedkar circle here on Tuesday in protest against land grabbing and demanding sites for the homeless.
The meet was addressed by Mr G Amaresh, Mr R Maanasaiah, Mr R Shivaputrappa Bheri, Mr B Basavalingappa and Mr H N Badiger.
They urged the district administration to give land to the landless and condemned the policy of district administration of selling land to land grabbers
A large number of people took out a rally and reached DC's Office and submitted a memorandum to the deputy commissioner’s headquarters assistant demanding housing sites for the poor.
