Dist planning panel meet
A meeting of the District Planning Committee (DPC) will be held on August 4 under the chairmanship of zilla panchayat president Saibanna Neelappagol.
The District Planning Committee meeting has been convened to table and get approval for the action plans of zilla panchayat, city municipal corporation, city municipal councils, town municipal councils, town panchayats.
The action plans pertain to drinking water supply schemes of both rural and urban areas and plans under the 12th finance commission programmes for the year 2007-08, according to a press release issued from the deputy commissioner’s office on Tuesday.
Meeting at Taj Sultanpur
The Gram Sabha of Taj Sultanpur gram panchayat in Gulbarga taluk will be held at Taj Sultanpur on Wednesday, at 10.30 am. The gram sabha has been convened to to review the list of labourers enrolled under the National Employment Guarantee Scheme, an official release said.  To be presided over by gram panchayat president Parameshwar Holakundi, it will be attended by assistant executive engineer of ZP and taluk panchayat extension officer.
Radhakrishnan award
The Bangalore-based Karnataka Pratibha Academy has decided to confer Dr S Radhakrishnan Award to teachers serving honestly and promptly on the occasion of Teachers’ Day. Teachers are asked to send their resume.

Training for job aspirants
A ten-day coaching will be held for the candidates applied for the posts of Air Group (non-technical) in the Indian Air Force, at the District Employment Exchange  from July 27 to August 5. The competitive examinations for the posts will be held in November.
During coaching, general examination and information guidance will be given to candidates. Details of coaching and other information can be obtained from Bakkappa Bazar, Employment Officer, Employment Exchange Office, Gulbarga.
