Municipality supplies water at 3 am to KB Layout. There are no buses to Kengapur village in Honalli taluk afer 9 pm, thereby subjecting travellers to hardship. Traffic in old Davangere is in chaos. Lorries should be allowed to unload after 10 pm. These were some of the grievances at the public grievance redressal meeting organised by the district administration in Davangere on Tuesday.
Deputy Commissioner M B Dyaberi promised to arrange public transport till 11 pm and address water and cleanliness issues at the earliest. Villagers asked the DC to desilt the Komaranahalli tank at the earliest as any delay would cause problems to the State highway beside it.
The DC directed State transport officials to ensure bus services to Kengapur village by August 5.
Villagers of Basavankote in Jagalur taluk complained that the authorities were employing earth movers instead of providing jobs by implementing the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme.
