Those travelling on the Palace on Wheels will now be able to take with them a royal souvenir to keep them in great spirits. Miniatures of royal heritage liqueur packed in beautifully designed velvet boxes.
The Rajasthan State Ganganagar Sugar Mills Ltd (RSGSM) that produces heritage liqueur based on the recipes of erstwhile princely states of Rajasthan has launched miniatures of its four premium brands — Royal Chandrahaas, Royal Jag Mohan, Royal Kesar Kasturi and Royal Mawali.
The general manager of RSGSM O P Yadav told Deccan Herald that they have reached an agreement with Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation to provide miniatures of the heritage liqueur for the travellers of Palace on Wheels. He said, “The initiative will help us in marketing heritage liqueur abroad and help us boost our sales.”
RTDC will present miniatures of the brands in boxes bearing an emblem of the Palace on Wheels starting September this year, Mr Yadav added.The summer brands have not been considered for launching the 90 ml miniature bottles, he said.

The marketing through souvenir will help us consider a similar proposal with some airlines and hotels, Mr.Yadav said. The heritage liqueur is already available for sale at heritage hotels of the state.
The state government’s initiative to buy copyright of recipes from princely states of yore and launch heritage liqueur in attractive ceramic bottles was an instant hit. Different brands of heritage liqueur are available for winter and summer seasons.
