CET casual vacancy round for the medical and dental seats for physically challenged, NCC, sports and wards of Jammu and Kashmir migrants will begin from Wednesday. The casual vacancy round for the medical and dental seats for all the reserved and special category candidates will be held on July 26 and 27. Casual vacancy round for the medical and dental seats for General Merit and all categories will be held from July 28 to 31.

The casual vacancy round for dental and medical seats was to begin from July 9 but  was postponed because three medical colleges listed with the CET cell could not get recognition from the MCI. In the last 15  days, the government could extract 756 seats for the casual vacancy round. The casual vacancy round is taking place on Wednesday. There are 15 medical seats and 2 dental seats for physically disabled. There are two medical seats under the NCC quota, 2 dental seats under sports quota and 6 medical seats for the wards of J & K migrants. All candidates either attended or not attended, either selected or not selected any seat, reported or not reported to the respective colleges are eligible to participate in the medical or dental or ISM&H, engineering, architecture casual vacancy round. The candidates, who are holding medical, dental or the ISM&H seat or the candidates who have selected ISM&H seat in the casual vacancy round are not eligible to participate in the engineering casual vacancy round. The candidates who are holding ISM&H seat selected during admission round and like to participate in the engineering casual vacancy round should have to surrender their ISM&H seat on or before their turn during the ISM&H casual vacancy round. Candidates holding the medical, dental, ISM&H or engineering seat are not eligible to participate in the architecture casual vacancy round. Similarly candidates who have selected engineering seat in the casual vacancy round are also not eligible for the architecture casual vacancy round.

Candidates holding engineering seat, selected during admission round and like to participate in the architecture casual vacancy round should have to surrender their engineering seat on or before their turn during the engineering casual vacancy round.Candidates holding seats selected under special categories  are not eligible to participate.
