Reva Electric Car Company, on Wednesday, announced the launch of its advanced car — the REVAi. Boasting of improved aesthetics and interiors, improved motor, braking, anti-roll bar systems et all, tubeless tyre, the car, which comes in three different models, is priced at Rs 3.49 lakh for REVAi-STD at the lower-end, Rs 3.97 lakh for REVAi AC and Rs 4.28 lakh at the upper-end for REVAi-Classe, all ex-showroom Bangalore. Briefing reporters, Reva Chairman Chetan Maini, said the rugged two-door hatch back can seat two adults and two children confortably and is the most eco-friendly and economical car offering ease of driving (fully automative — no clutch, no gear), and ease of parking.
Reva is being test marketed in Japan and other European countries, he said, adding the car comes in a choice of standard colours such as agenl white, cherry red, passion yellow, silver arrow, blue envy and midnight black besides over 2,000 customised colours.
