ONGC Q1 net up 11.95 per cent
State-run Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC) on Wednesday in New Delhi said it has reported a 11.95 per cent surge in its net profit at Rs 4,610.53 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2007 as compared to Rs 4,118.99 crore in the same quarter last year. However, the total income declined from Rs 15,022.72 crore in
June 30, 2006 to Rs 14,526.51 crore during the quarter under review, a press release said.
Reliance Capital net up 188 pc
Reliance Capital on Wednesday in Mumbai posted a consolidated Net Profit, after Minority Interest and Share of Profit of Associates, at Rs 325.26 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 as compared to Rs 113.03 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006, an increase of 188 pc. During this period, the group’s total income increased from Rs 356.19 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 to Rs 1176.20 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2007. The company’s stand alone net profit for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 stood at Rs 302.4 crore as compared to Rs 94.53 crore for the corresponding quarter last fiscal. Total Income increased from Rs 132.42 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 to Rs 513.77 cr for the quarter under review.
HDFC Q1 net up 25.6 per cent
Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) on Wednesday in Mumbai posted a net profit of Rs 372.81 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 as compared to Rs 296.82 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 , a rise of 25.60 per cent. Announcing the results, the company said its total income has increased from Rs 1248.53 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 to Rs 1830.39 cr for the quarter ended June 30, 2007.
SAIL’s net profit at Rs 1525.12 cr
Steel Authority of India (SAIL) on Wednesday in New Delhi posted a 10 per cent growth at Rs 1,525.12 crore against 1,386 crore over the corresponding period last year. SAIL Chairman S K Roongta said the result showed that first quarter profit before tax (PBT) was highest at Rs 2,308.98 crore, a 10 per cent increase over same period last year. SAIL achieved a turnover of Rs 8,898.45 crore, which was 5.8 per cent higher than the corresponding period last year and also the highest recorded in any Q1.
MindTree net at Rs 20.6 crore
MindTree Consulting on Wednesday in Bangalore posted a net profit of Rs 20.6 crore for the first quarter ended on June 30, compared to the year-ago period, due to rupee surge against the US dollar. Revenue grew by 3.2 per cent quarter-on-quarter and 21.27 per cent year-on-year in rupee terms. The company saw strong operational results with gross margins increasing by 12.8 per cent year on year in spite of salary revisions for 53 per cent during the quarter. IT services revenue grew by 36.4 per cent while that from R&D rose by 20.3 per cent year-on-year in dollar terms. The revenue guidance for the fiscal year 2007-08 remains at $ 178-180 mn.
