Two more PILs seeking efficient implementation of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Animal Birth Control) Rules, 2001 to prevent brutal killing of stray dogs in the City, had come up before the High Court on Wednesday.
The petitions filed by Tejaswini T and four other residents of Bangalore and Sneha G S Maiya and five other residents of Bangalore and Madikeri challenged the inhuman methods followed by BBMP to eliminate dogs.
The Court adjourned the hearing to August 22, 2007, to which date, other PILs pending in the issue, have been posted.
