Banyan Tree Events presents the All India Monsoon Music Festival 2007 on July 28 at 7 pm at Chowdaiah Memorial Hall.
The monsoon
Monsoon plays a pivotal role in life and has always been a source of inspiration for creative minds since time immemorial.
Through the rains, nature plays the music of life, of creation, of love, of emotion. This queen of all the seasons in India, finds a special place in the rich repertoire of Indian Classical music not only through the scores of compositions that depict the beauty of the monsoons but also through the raagas that bring to life the spirit of the monsoon.
“Barkha Ritu Rains and Ragas” is the brainchild of Mahesh Babu, director of Banyan Tree Events, which is a premier cultural organisation based in Mumbai, that for over a decade specialises in world class presentations of traditional, rare and popular Indian performing arts (both music and dance) across the country featuring the best of geniuses from India and abroad.
