Principals Conference of Army Schools
The two-day annual ‘Principals Conference 2007’, of the Army schools started at the MEG Centre, in Bangalore on Thursday. The conference was inaugurated by Major General D Rajan, M G Administration, Headquarters Southern Command.

The conference aims at highlighting issues of concern in the field of education and its emerging trends and is being attended by twenty seven principals of Army schools from the states of Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajastan and Madhya Pradesh.

New school buildings inaugurated
The Namma Oora Shale at JJ Nagar and Kempapura Agrahara on Thursday got two new buildings comprising around 20 rooms each.

Primary and Secondary Education Minister, Basavaraj Horatti, inaugurated the two buildings, on Thursday which he dedicated to the public. The structures have been  built at a cost of Rs 80 lakhs.

The Karnataka Pradesh Youth Congress Committee (KPYCC) general secretary Vishwanath Gowda said, the 60 per cent of the money spent on the building was granted by the Sarva Shikshana Abhiyan while the remaining 40 per cent was donated by the local MLA Somanna under the MLA local area development scheme.
