There is shortage of drinking water in Pavagada taluk, though its neighbouring villages in Andhra Pradesh have got sufficient supply, through various scheme.
Senior freedom fighter V N Reddy pointed out this in a press release and called upon the people in the taluk to take out agitation for water supply.
Garimyakapalli, one of the villages in the border areas gets water from Sai water from Perur; Work is in progress to supply water from Kalyanadurga to Amarapur get water supply through Sri Sai drinking water supply scheme.
However, Karnataka government has not even discussed with the Sai organisation regarding water supply to Pavagada.
Hence, he appealed the government to plan to provide water supply while Sriramareddy drinking water supply scheme work is on in the border.
