A meeting of HMT staff who have claimed voluntary retirement from service (VRS), will be convened  at 10 am on July 29 at Mahatma Gandhi stadium.
During the meeting, besides the grievances of the staff, inauguration of the Swayam Nivritti Noukara Kshemabhivridi Sangha and preparations for Guruvandana for Siddaganga seer Dr Shivakumara Swamiji, which is slated to be held on August 12, will also be discussed, said a press release from the Sangha’s general secretary H G Narasimhamurty.

Tumkur, dhns: District unit of Karnataka Dalit Sangarsha Samiti will be holding a Prathiba Puraskar programme on July 29, said Samiti’s District Unit President P N Ramaiah in a press release.
At the function which is to be held at Samiti’s office in front of Kodibasaveshwara at 10 am, notebooks will be distributed to poor children.Also, a dalit awareness programme will be held on that day, he added.
