A UGC-sponsored State-level seminar on “Karavali Karnatakadalli parampare nirvahaneya nireekshegalu mattu samasyegalu” will be held at Government First Grade College in Belthangady on July 27 and 28. 
According to a release from Prof K Suresh Rai, the head of the History Department of the college, Collegiate Education Department Joint Director Dr Lynda Christie will inaugurate the seminar at 10 am on July 27, while College Principal Prof Ibrahim Beary will preside. Mangalore University Prasaranga Director Prof K Chinnappa Gowda will deliver a keynote address.
MLA K Prabhakar Bangera will be the chief guest for the valedictory to be held at 3 pm on July 28, the release stated.
Prakashchandra Shishila from Vittal, Dr Pundikai Ganapaiah Bhat from Moodabidri, Dr S R Vighnaraj, Prof Tukaram Poojary, Dr L N Swamy, Dr Jagadish Shetty and Dr Gananath Shetty will be the resource persons, the release added.
