Loan camp for the benefit of students has been organised by the Tumkur Margadarshi Bank at Birla Auditorium in S I T college, said Manager J B Umesh of State Bank of Mysore, in a release.
The government of India has implemented education loan schemes to pursue higher education for the benefit of economically backward students.
Though thousands of students have been benefiting from this scheme and pursuing technical, medical and other courses, many are still unaware of the scheme, he stated.
Hence the loan camp is being organised under the instruction of the Central Finance Minister, he said.
The camp will be held from 10.30 am to 2.30 pm. Managers, representatives of all the banks in the district will attend the camp to guide the students, Mr Umesh added.
The students are asked to carry the marks cards of previous examinations, official entrance card of the next course which the student wants to take up, total expenditure of the course, letter from the principal, family income certificate, bank pass and other related documents with them in the camp.
Deputy Commissioner S R Umashankar will inaugurate the programme. Mr Umesh has requested the students to get benefits from the camp.
