A training camp for the staff of Crime Investigation Department was held for the first time in the city. District Police Superintendent P Harishekharan explained the responsibility of the staff and called for the proper use of their abilities.
Mr  Harishekharan appreciated the activities of the city police.
In today’s highly advanced technological world, criminals are increasing with the number of crimes and are using the advanced technology for the worse of human kind, he said.
According to the changing situation, the police department too has adopted new technologies to detect crimes, he added.
For this purpose, the department has taken up some advanced training to the staff which includes proper use of computers too, the Superintendent of Police added.
Senior officials of the Police department were also present in the occasion.
