District Vachana Sahitya Sammelana on July 29

The first Kolar district Vachana Sahitya Sammelana will be held at 10 am on July 29 at M C Anjaneyareddy Kalyana Mantapa...

 The first Kolar district Vachana Sahitya Sammelana will be held at 10 am on July 29 at M C Anjaneyareddy Kalyana Mantapa.
The sammelana is being organised by Rajarajeshwari Kannada Kala Sangha in association with Taluk Veerashaiva Kshemabhivridhi Sangha, Kannada Sahitya Vedike and Vachana Sahitya Academy from Bangalore.
According to Kala Sangha President Ashwathnarayan, the programme will be inaugurated by former minister K M Krishna Reddy and presided over by former minister Chowda Reddy. Folklorist Prof D Lingaiah will preside over the session which Dr S Vidyashankar will inaugurate.
Deputy Director of Food and Civil Supply Department M C Srinivasaiah will release a book - ‘Chintamani taluk deepike.’ Dr Mohan Kumar will speak on the book. Former MLC K V Subbareddy, TP President Chinnappa, Kannada and Culture Department Assistant Director Venkatachalapati will participate, according to Ashwathnarayan.
Litterateur Prof T R Mahadevaiah will preside over the second session - Vachana Sahitya Vaibhava Ghosthi in which Dr Chikka Hejjaji Mahadev will speak about Adya Vachana Sahitya and Rani Govindaraju, Rudresh Adarangi will speak on Adhunika Vachana Sahitya.
 In the after noon session, Swarachita Vachana Vaachana Ghosthi will be held. Sooryakantagunakimath, Ta Si Timmaiah, Talakadu M Nagarajamurty, K Tipperangappa, Basavaraj Araleppanavar, Ratnikalegowda, Ooginahalli Mahesh, Srishaila Masoote, Gollahalli Shinaprasad, G Bhagirati, H S Karennanavar, Kotagal Nagasubrahmanyam, N Munikrishnappa, Mohummad Khasim will recite their compositions.
At 5 pm, Legislator Dr M C Sudhakar will preside over the valedictory programme in which poet B R Laxmanrao will deliver key note address. Legislator C B Krishnabhairegowda, Litterateur Uttanooru Rajamma, APMC President Venkatashivareddy, Vice President Krishnamurty, TAPCMS president Ravindragowda, Town Municipality former president Srinivasareddy, Sriramareddy, Kariyappa, Bar Assocation President Srinath will participate.
