The negligence of the contractor while felling trees saw traffic pile up for around two hours on NH-7 near Hoonegal village on Friday morning.
Huge trees are being felled alongside the highway to lay a six-way express lane. And the work has been outsourced to a private contractor via contract. The contractor, who began felling trees this morning left an excavator bang in the middle of the road, inconveniencing general public. Vehicular movement was affected too. Vehicles coming from Bagepalli and Bangalore directions were stranded and four-km pile up built for around two hours.
