The government has failed to implement the reduction in bus fares for senior citizens at 30 percent, who commute in KSRTC buses, said Retired Employees Association taluk president M Ramachandra Rao Sindhya . He also  demanded for the rapid implementation of the scheme.
Assurance
The senior citizens on last January had protested against this in front of the Vidhan Soudha and had submitted a memorandum to the  Transport Minister Chaluvarayaswamy, who then told that he had sent the matter for proposal to the Finance minister, he added.
Futile
The cards given to the senior citizens have gone futile without the implementation of the scheme, he stated. The govt should take rapid action, else they will have to hold a huge protest, he has warned in a release.
