Movement art workshop
The Movement Arts Centre is organising a workshop designed to improve the understanding of one's own body. Drawing from ancient classical art forms of India as well as modern contemporary arts, this, they say, adds value to a person's body language and inter-personal skills while playing a role in improving fitness levels and increasing flexibility.
According to the centre, as stated in a release, movement arts is based on the belief that movement reflects an individual's pattern of thinking and feeling. While it can help anyone with emotional problems, conflict or distress, it is also used simply for personal growth. They also believe that dance and movement increase body awareness and simultaneously destress the individual.
The duration of the workshop is 10 one-hour sessions and is open to individuals of all age groups. It does not require any prior training in dance. The workshop that will commence on July 30, will be held at Padmalaya Centre for Performing Arts, 100ft Road, Indiranagar. For details, call: 2520290/ 98454-21009.
