Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy on Friday said he was “greatly relieved” to hear about the Australian police dropping terror charges against Dr Mohammed Haneef.

Speaking to reporters in Bangalore, he further said that Haneef being cleared of charges has also proved that the IT capital has no links with terror activities.

“According to the information I have got, Bangalore is not a base for terrorists,” he stated. Mr Kumaraswamy also said he was yet to get a detailed information on Haneef from the Centre.
